Registered Nurse-Women's Health Care Manager - Harlingen, Texas
Duties

VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package:

You are responsible for identification of learning needs and utilization of educational resources for development of proficiencies and skills in women's health services. Collaborate with providers, nurses, pharmacists, fee office personnel, Women Veterans Program Manager and others regarding but not limited to the breast and gynecologic care needs of Veterans. Responsible for identifying, facilitating, and coordinating patient-centered care options and services related to mammography and breast care, cervical screenings and abnormalities, and other women's health issues; including problems between VA and authorized non-VA/fee-based providers and patients. You will work directly with the patients, and their families when appropriate, VA staff, non-VA care providers and organizations, and the Women Veterans Program Manager to achieve seamless care, to facilitate patient satisfaction, to reduce duplication of services and delay in care, and to monitor quality of care and services provided. Responsible and accountable for the provision of certain direct and indirect patient care, which is under her purview, and demonstrates and endorses culturally sensitive, appropriate professional patient communication and care. Function in a clinical and administrative environment as the liaison among VA providers, non-VA/fee-based providers, fee office personnel, pharmacists, radiologists, patient, and hospital personnel when appropriate. Adhere to VHA directives, established policies, standards of care, and standards of practice. Demonstrate leadership, experience, and creative approaches in the management, delivery, maintenance, and implementation of women's health services within the VA Texas Valley Coastal Bend Health Care System. The position requires each WHCM learn the process of monitoring and tracking mammograms, cervical cancer screen tracking and gynecological consult tracking to be able to cover in the absence of a WHCM for planned or unplanned leave periods. Each WHCM will be responsible for either Mammograms for a group (Harlingen and McAllen), (Corpus and Laredo) or Cervical Cancer Screening/Gynecological screenings/tracking of consult referrals made within the facility or referred into the community.

Pay: Competitive salary, regular salary increases, potential for performance awards
