• Psychiatric unit nurses are usually assigned a caseload of patients and provide direct care to their patients, which includes facilitating social and emotional needs, supervising medication schedules and evaluating patient progress.
• Work with individuals with intellectual disabilities, (IID) in a residential section, not outpatient clinic.
• Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
• Will conduct themselves in accordance with the Rules and Regulations relating to Registered Nursing and Vocational Nursing Education
• Will complete assigned duties in accordance with the duties assigned to permanent RNs and LVNs of the Facility. Qualifications and Job Info
  • Active State nursing license
  • 1-2 years of experience
  • Must have experience in IV therapy.
  • Must be bilingual (English and Spanish) Preferred but not required
  • Must have strength and flexibility to safely perform Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Must be able to demonstrate a working knowledge of emergency procedures and emergency equipment. ; and regulations; of medical diagnoses and procedures; of accepted medical treatment programs; and of community health and nursing care principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to provide patient care, to prepare and maintain records, to explain public health law, and to communicate effectively.
