Obstetrics & Gynecology opening in Harlingen, Texas. This and

South Texas 150 miles south of Corpus Christi, TX Full Time,
Permanent position **The Job:** -Joining a very busy single
physician practice with the intention of being the succession plan
for OB -Private Practice with potential for employment in the
future -Physician needs coverage help for his OB business -This
physician is interested in phasing out of OB and focusing on GYN.
The practice is doing over 400 deliveries a year -This new position
would be the primary OB for the practice. The practice contracts
with other OBs for additional coverage when the OB is not
available. -Call is on a rotational basis with six other OBs
-Inpatient + outpatient -1 Physician, 1 midwife, and 2 ANP -Income
guarantee based on MGMA Median for region and potential for long
term hospital employment -Growing population market with aging
OB/GYN staff -Only 10 OB/GYN in Harlingen; 5 over the age of 60
-Clinic: 2 ANP and 1 midwife -Hospital: 112 licensed beds; level II
nursery, 6 L&D rooms, 16 Post Partum Beds, and 2 C-Section ORs
-EMR: Centricity in Hospital **The Location:** -40 miles from South
Padre Island. 10 miles north of Brownsville, 4 international
airports within 30 mile radius, -423,000 in Cameron County, 860,000
in neighboring Hidalgo County, 2 Million in neighboring Mexico
cities -Regional university and medical school presence: UTRGV
-Excellent public school system including very successful charter
schools -Low cost of living -Beautiful beach community within 45
minute drive -Shopping, culinary scene, and nightlife 30 minutes
away in McAllen -Multiple flights daily to Austin, Dallas, Houston,
