Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY Under the coordination of the Director and
Coordinator ensures clinical education to the staff, ensures the
competency of the preceptors and staff to improve quality of care
to patients. Meets all performance responsibilities as defined in
the RN Job Description for the specialty area/unit. Completes
established competencies for the position within designated
introductory period. Other related duties as assigned. POSITION
QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited school
of nursing PREFERRED EDUCATION: Bachelor degree in Nursing MINIMUM
EXPERIENCE: 3 years clinical experience. 2 years of preceptor
experience in specialty area. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Experience in
Staff Development or Nursing Education REQUIRED
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current Texas State License
for Registered Nurse PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE:
Certification in Professional Staff Development and/or Clinical
Specialty REQUIRED COURSES/COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): x BLS required
for all units-Obtained through approved American Heart Association
Training Center Tenet complies with federal, state, and/or local
