Job SummaryThis role provides direct clinical patient care in the Emergency Room at Valley Baptist Medical Center - Harlingen. The successful candidate will assess, plan, and implement care to assigned patients on a per shift basis, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care.Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, safe, cost-effective, total nursing care to all patients.
• Assume responsibility for overall coordination and integration of patient care based on the nursing process.
• Direct care according to established standards of safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control.
• Administer medications safely and in a timely manner per hospital policy.
• Perform and fulfill all HICS responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles as directed and needed by the facility in times of emergency and/or disaster.Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Experience: Preferred: Recent acute care experience.
