Description: Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a Med/Surg
unit. Shifts are 12 hours days from 0645 to 1915. The
nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Common diagnoses include unknown
fevers, DKA, pneumonia, COPD, flu, diabetic ulcers, appendicitis,
cellulitis, pancreatitis, and osteomyelitis. The unit has 32 beds.
Charting is done using Cerner. Scrub color is navy blue. Areas of
float support include orthopedics, comprehensive medical unit,
oncology, and accountability care unit. Special procedures include
NGT insertions, PICC line management, dressing changes, and wound
vacs.
