Girl Scout Recruiter
Position SummaryThe Girl Scout Recruiter interacts directly with
girls and their caregivers to engage and inspire those looking to
become Girl Scouts members. The Girl Scout Recruiter works
collaboratively with other departments to ensure the achievement of
key performance indicators for member satisfaction and retention
and girl and family experience. The nature of this position will
require the person to work irregular hours, including occasional
evenings and weekends.
Position Description--- The Girl Scout Recruiter will have
excellent sales skills and the eagerness to spread and encourage
the Girl Scout movement throughout their area goals and the entire
organization.--- The Girl Scout Recruiter will increase girl and
family satisfaction resulting in retention. They will develop and
foster relationships with our members and community
partnerships.--- This highly cross-functional role relies on
excellent communication skills, technological savvy, and a
willingness to use data to drive work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities--- Recruit both girl and
adult members through a positive program experience year-round.---
Answer registration questions via phone, email, etc. in a
professional and timely manner.--- Create and maintain recruitment
materials as needed.--- Work with a cross-functional team to ensure
the adequate support of members.--- Performs other duties as
assigned by the Director of Recruitment.
Skills and Qualifications--- Ability to manage multiple
priorities/projects, meet deadlines, and manage time
effectively.--- Ability to speak to small and large groups.---
Excellent writing skills and experience preparing written materials
for use by the public.--- Experience planning and coordinating
activities for large numbers of diverse participants.--- Strong
communication and presentation skills.--- Willing to work nights
and weekends as necessary.
Education/ExperienceMinimum (1-2) years applicable administrative,
sales, project management experience, or equivalent combination of
education and practical work experience.
- The employee must maintain membership with Girl Scouts of the
United States of America throughout their employment with Girl
Scouts of Greater South Texas.
- Must complete a Criminal Background Check.
- Valid Texas driver's license, access to reliable
transportation, and proof of insurance.
