Job Description:

A. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:1. Must be at least 18 years of age2. Must have no criminal record or criminal charges pending3. Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation with liability insurance4. Must be able to speak, read and write English5. Must have or be willing to obtain First Aide/CPR certification6. Must have a clear TB and physical examination before first day of employment7. Must be skilled in data entry8. Must have superior computer skills Microsoft Windows environment and Office SuiteB. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:1. Have experience with clerical duties2. Be Bilingual able or willing to learn to speak, read and write English and Spanish3. Be a local resident of Cameron or Willacy County4. Be a person sensitive to the needs of the poor and disadvantagedC. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Assist Family Services Coordinator with all documentations, files and verify reports2. Assist Family Services Coordinator schedule and prepare flyers for parent meetings and ongoing trainings3. Assist Family Services Coordinator with Content areas forms4. Assist in clothes drive distributions5. Recruit Volunteers6. Seek donations for HS/EHS parents meetings and trainings7. Parent Committee Meetings8. Fundraising Projects, Initial & Final Reports9. Volunteer Reports10. Preparing Handouts for Parent's Meetings11. Supplying all centers with content area forms12. Attend Training's/Conference when requested.13. Monitor Parents Meetings Monitor Centers.14. Data entry in to ChildPlus15. Filing16. Generating Reports/Memos as requested by the Family Services Coordinator17. Maintain system of organization to expedite recruitment of children18. Maintain working relationship with all supportive agencies and institutions involved with Head Start families such as schools, churches, County Welfare Department, Clinics, and poverty programs19. When necessary will be expected to attend staff training through pre-service and in-service workshops20. Supports the efforts of Head Start families in the enhancement of their children's healthy wellbeing and academic success21. Performs any other duties assigned by supervisor relative to program operations22.
