Grade: 7NGrade Profile: 3-3Frequency: HourlyEducation: Required - 4 year bachelor's or undergraduate degree from an accredited program/university, preferably in one of the following areas: social work, psychology, criminal justice, sociology or related field of study Preferred - Graduate degree from accredited program/university in a related fieldExperience: Required - 1 year related experience and/or trainingPreferred - 2 plus years related experience and/or trainingSupervises: Case AidesSummary: The Assistant Lead case manager is responsible for using sound professional judgment and best practices to ensure quality case management services and the swift reunification of the service population with their family/sponsor(s) while maintaining compliance with established State and Federal standards and requirements. To successfully perform this job, the employee may be expected to perform the following, with or without reasonable accommodations in accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990:Essential Functions:1. Supervise case aide staff on a daily basis to ensure staff function according to their written position descriptions; assist in problem solving when needed.2. Model effective communication and facilitate effective communication between case management and case aide staff.3. Use BCFS HHS reporting system to collect data and evaluate services provided to service Approved (ADA) Rev. 5/13/2019 population and their sponsors by case management staff and case aide staff. Maintain current information in reporting system daily.4. Communicate with prospective sponsor(s) within the specified timeframe to discuss the role of BCFS HHS and the reunification process.5. Process all sponsor information necessary for reunification in accordance with program requirements, and within the required timeframe.6. Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and federal partners.7. Communicate effectively in writing and verbally in English and SpanishMeasurable Deliverables:1. Meet all federal and state regulatory guidelines and standards applicable to this position.2. Complete sponsor follow-up calls.3. Hire, train and assist case aides to perform essential functions of their position.4. Assign, track, review and sign off on case aide assignments.5. Review completed family reunification packets for accuracy and follow up with sponsor to discuss any identified issues.6. Participate in scheduled meetings, team decisions and operations.7. Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and activities that promote professional growth and development related to the position.8. Compile, prepare, submit and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics and additional information in accordance with agency policies, licensing and/or contract requirements.9. Work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed or requested by position supervisor.10. Implement BCFS safety protocols including evacuating with children and other staff in case of an emergency.11. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations.12. Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and complying with required dress code at all times.Credentials, Skills and Abilities:1. Maintain current licenses and certificates required for the position including, but not limited to: FirstAid CPR EmergencyBehaviorIntervention Other:2. Pass a pre-employment drug screen and random drug screens throughout employment.3. Provide proof of work eligibility status upon request.4.
