Job Summary

At Cardone our Deskside Support Analyst is hands on with the computer software, hardware, and network both wired and wireless! This position also helps transport IT equipment to various locations, including Mexico.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Provides technical support for technology end users on a variety of problems related to Information Technology - desktop and notebook PC hardware/software, phones, terminals, and printers, wiring closet cabling and equipment
  • Provides temporary fixes or workarounds as quickly as possible to improve end user productivity
  • Isolates the root cause in order to bring permanent resolution to the problem
  • Makes decision about the escalation path to take if necessary
  • Responds to dispatch requests for technical support from the IS Service Desk
  • Tracks status and progress on the work order to keep Service Desk and customer informed
  • Prioritizes workload and backlog of incidents in queue using judgment and applying Service Level Agreement principles to determine what to focus on next
  • Makes time-sensitive decision on escalation of service incidents Mass software rollouts and upgrades
  • Must have a dependable personal vehicle to use for transporting IT equipment, and/or backup tape media cases to CARDONE facilities
  • Disaster recovery resources: available 7x24 to participate in declared business emergencies in order to establish and maintain business systems connectivity (includes annual DR test)
  • On call 7 X 24 (must be able to respond to CARDONE business critical emergencies within one hour time of notification of problem)
  • Other duties as assigned

    • 3-5 Years Related Experience
    • High School Diploma/GED
    • Bi-lingual in Spanish and English
    • Technology Microsoft Certified Professional or A+ Technician Certification strongly preferred
    • Valid Driver's License Required
    • Computer skills
    • Microsoft Suite Office Applications
    • Strong Computer Problem Solving Skills
    • PC hardware/software Network Connectivity Phone Connectivity
    • Use Personal Vehicle for travel & moves

      • Lifts up to 70 pounds

        Travel: Up to 80% (Including normal business hours, after hours and weekends for emergency technical support) Interplant travel is also required in order to transport IT equipment or backup tape media and to provide technical support to the business
