A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PORTER / MAINTENANCE HELPER
As a Porter / Maintenance Helper, you assist in ordering supplies required to maintain our facility. You help with shop clean-up and deliveries when needed, including delivering heavy equipment to job sites. You also complete minor repairs, building improvements, and assist with the maintenance log for our service vehicles. You assist with the organization of the Maintenance shop and ensure that the vehicles are clean and that the vehicle lot is neat by moving service vehicles as directed. You are to keep the shop conference room, kitchen, breakroom, service washrooms, and offices tidy including removing litter and rubbish. When applicable, you place safety hazard signs in the building and maintain a safe work environment. You will also be required to assist our Plumber - Technicians on job sites when needed. At the end of the day, you feel great about having provided a clean and safe work environment for our Roto-Rooter Plumbing team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  
• High school diploma or relevant education
  
• Experience with Maintenance and Shop Environment
  
• A valid Driver's License with an insurable driving record
