Maintenance Specialist II

SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Maintenance Specialist II performs routine work on (2) or more maintenance building construction trades.

Pay: $17.41 per hour

  Work Hours
  
  Hours/Days: 8 am-5 pm, 40 hours per week
  
  Duties & Experience:
  
  • Performs routine work (2) or more maintenance building construction trades.
  • Work involves maintaining and repairing buildings, stationary and motorized equipment
  • Work involves carpentry, plumbing, sanitation system, experience in one trade referred
  • Work requires heavy physical activity
  • Work is performed independently and under the supervision of the maintenance manager and maintenance supervisor I
  • Must be able to follow oral or written instructions
  • Work requires driving.
  • Must have a Texas driver license
    Compliance with HHSC Immunization Policy required
    
    • Serologic evidence of immunity to or documented evidence of vaccination against measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, (chicken pox), Tdap, annual vaccination against influenza (and Hepatitis B if applicable.
    • Experience in maintenance building construction field.
    • Work requires heavy physical activity
      Experience and Education
      
      • Experience in building maintenance and repair work
      • Graduation from a standard senior high school or equivalent is preferred. Experience and education may substitute for one another.
      • Two (2) years of general maintenance experience preferred.
